"It is a human number..."

Rejoice, for today is 666. I would not be at all suprised if Gary has already collapsed to the floor and cackled himself to death. Today would be a great day to play Dalmuti.
The town of Hell, Michigan is having all kinds of festivities today. They are selling land by the square inch for $6.66. I would love to buy one just so I can say "there is a little place in Hell with my name on it".

Yup, today is going to be fun. Last night I came up for a good name for the nightly chat room I have with friends. I called it Eve Of The Beast. By the way, every day is a good day for Dalmuti.

I don't see what the big deal is. Today is actually 6/6/06, which really means nothing. If this was year 6, well then we would have 6/6/6. I guess I'm just a party pooper.

It's just an excuse for stupid people to do stupid things. Believers foretold end times in 666 A.D. also. When that didn't work out, they tried again in 1006 A.D.. 6/6/2006 is different only in the people who are alive to freak out about it.
But it is all very silly for a couple reasons. First, we use a different callendar than the one used in biblical times so our 6/6/06 has nothing to do with theirs. Secondly, the Number of the Beast, as told in Revelations, was to appear as a mark on the hand or forearm of the Antichrist. There is no mention of dates.
It all reminds me of 4/20/02. My employee at the time showed up to work all excited about the date. He said "At 4:20 today people all over the world will light up at the same time!". I almost felt bad taking the wind out of his sails when I introduced him to the concept of time zones and explained that it was only 4:20 in two time zones at once. I think a little part of him died at that moment. Stupid stoners.
