Longing for those cool Vegas summers

Seriously, what's the deal with the weather around here. According to weather.com, it was 114 in Foothill Ranch on Saturday. Coupled with 40 something percent humidity, it might as well be 200. Our power went out Saturday, the hottest day in several decades here, and it took several minutes without air conditioning to turn our house into a pressure cooker. Sure, it's hot in Vegas but, with humidity in the teens, it's much more bearable there. Additionally, everybody's air conditioner is already on in the summer so there aren't any surprise black-outs when everybody simultaneously figures out it's hot. My biggest deterrent to moving to Vegas used to be the weather. I'm not so worried any more.

Update: Our power went out again last night at about 6:30pm. It occurred at a very inconvenient time while I was kicking some ass in Halo and Niki was posting items for auction on ebay. After trying unsuccessfully to sleep (it just can't be done when sweat is dripping down your face) we ended up going to Niki's parents' house to sleep. Apparently, the power is back on now but who knows how long it will last. I hate summer.

That's another reason I love Vegas so much...it's a different type of HOT! However, my nose disagrees!

So speaking of Vegas...would you guys be interested in a concert Fri. night? Dan and I are going. Sammy Hagar and his Cabo Wabo band will be playing @ Caesar's. Tickets are $65 which isn't bad at all. I mean if you really think about it, we'd all loose that in about 15-20 mins.

Don't forget the selling feature, there is a Fat Tuesday at Caesar's.

Do they play his Van Halen tunes or just his solo stuff?

Sure, I like Sammy... I wonder if he will perform "I can't drive 55" (or whatever the name of that song is)? I love that song.
Obviously, I have to talk to Aaron about it.

Yes, he will play I Can't Drive 55. Also he will be playing VH stuff, since the bassist on his summer tour is Michael Anthony from VH.
Some of the VH songs they have played on this tour include:
Runnin' With the Devil
Top of the World
Why Can't This Be Love
Right Now
Finish What you Started
Best of Both Worlds

No I just figured we would pick them up when we got to Vegas. Assuming we can do that and it's not sold out. If it is then I'm sure we could find something else to do. I'm not too worried about trying to find something to do in Vegas.

Ok, sounds good. If we get there and it's sold out, we'll be near a Fat Tuesday.

I really don't know if there is going to be something else to do. Vegas is such a dull place.

I know...Vegas is soooooooooo boring! I don't even know why we bother going?

There are 2 shows, Fri. and Sat. night. So if Fri. nights show is sold out maybe we can get tickets for Sat. show and do the Hofbrahaus Fri. night.

I really doubt it'll be sold out though. But just to make sure, we'll check out tickets when we get there. I hope they're selling them at the Flamingo though.

Well, if we can't find anything else to do, we can just go to the nudie bar. :)

I've never heard of Sammy playing a Roth tune on his own solo tour.
