Vegas trip #1 & #2 of 07

OK, so Emily and I are making a last second decision to go to Vegas on the weekend of the 13th. That's MLK weekend in case you didn't know what to celebrate. We are heading out bright and early Saturday morning and will probably come back dark and late on Sunday night. We have not yet rulled out staying Sunday night since I get Monday off. We are meeting her friend Brianna and her mom Saturday night at Benihana, but other then that we don't have big plans.
May I suggest a get together that involves wings?
Also, we will probably be back out there a few weeks later. Staying Feb 2nd thru the 5th, but that is only about 80% confirmed at this point.
It's nice to already have 2 Vegas trips under your belt in the first 6 weeks of the New Year.
Gary, try not to go into convultions.

Whoa, I almost started to hyper venilate! HAHA sounds good man. I mentioned before that I went to Vegas 3 times last year and that I want to go at least 3 times this year, so we'll see what happens. For whatever reason, I really enjoyed the 3 Card and Caribbean Stud games, more so than I have in the past. Dan, where are you staying on the 13th?

I got us a room at the Flamingo. I don't know what the regular room charge is for that night but I'm paying $95.00

Niki's parents are visiting that weekend but we can ditch them for a while. I think wings can be arranged. If theres on thing Vegas has no shortage of, it's wings.

OK, then maybe something on Sunday would work. If not, we will be back out in a couple of weeks.

Just remember that you can stay with us for free Sunday night if you want to leave Monday.

The Flamingo is cool. I enjoyed my time there. Make sure you play Craps in their casino.

Yes, you can stay with us. We have 2 bedrooms, so you'll have privacy. We have some pretty comfortable air mattresses!!

Yeah, I saw those air mattresses on display last time we were there.
I'm probably not going to decide if we are staying on Sunday until Sunday. Why limit myself? if we are having fun (which does not constitute winning) then we will probably stay another day.

Thats a good strategy. We did the same thing last New Years Eve. Unfortunately, the second night cost something like $300. We had fun though.

Can someone please explain to me what an air mattress is? I assume it's not similar to the Ortho I have or Tempur Pedic that I wish I had.

Let me see, how could I possibly explain this? OK.....tell me if I lose you anywhere.....an air mattress is a mattress that is filled with air. Usually used for camping or inconvenient guests.

Looks like somebody got up on the wrong side of the air mattress this morning. Dan seems a little grumpy.

I figured it was filled with air, but I thought that it might be either a good thing or a bad thing. It sounded as if Niki was trying to sell you on the mattress, although it could have been a sarcastic statement.

Seriously, how can you not know what an air mattress is? The word itself is it's own definition!

Old school air mattresses suck but ours are quite comfortable. We have a queen size that is about 2 feet thick with an electric inflation motor. It's great unless somebody is a restless sleeper at which point it gets a little bouncy.

Well, this is Gary. I can almost see him giving me that look he always had back in junior high and high school when he didn't know what something meant.

There you go, so they have an extra good mattress. That was what I was getting at. Aaron, you know you love that look. Let's not limit it to our school days. I still give that look!

I just feel like I need to explain to people how comfortable they really are. I don't think anyone believes me though. We just don't have the money to buy more real beds. Anytime I go home I use one of the air mattresses. The last time I slept on the bed at Merrilee's, I ended up with a strained back.

Either way they're here if you want to stay. Unless you want to sleep on the floor, which you are welcome to do.

I went grocery shopping and I now have cold Guinness in the fridge. Now you are obligated to at least come and drink one or two or five!!!
