Regarding the Eddie Van Halen D-Tuna
While I was looking for the best price online, I discovered an important fact about the D-Tuna. I was under the impression that the bridge must be stabilized during installation. What I found is that the bridge must be stabilized during use too. This requires either "blocking" the bridge (which I dislike the idea of intensely) or installing a tremsetter (far too DIY or Dan). The need for a tremsetter doubles the cost and triples the difficulty of adding a D-Tuna. I think I'd rather just wait until I can afford a second guitar that I can leave in drop d tuning. The fact that Ed Roman is selling a used Schecter Omen 6 for $200 makes the idea all the more appealing and a reasonable solution.

OK. Get another guitar that you can leave in drop D. May I suggest the custom $2500 one that was quoted to me when we were there? I'm sure as hell not going to pay for it.

I think I can safely say that I will never spend that much on a guitar. Unless of course I win Megabucks.
When are you going to break down and buy a Schecter? You know you want one.

Dan, welcome back. I thought you'd never comment again after a certain team won the Stanley Cup.

Gary, I have no idea what your talking about. Furthermore, the season is over, stop living in the past.
Speaking of which I put $10 down on the Kings to win the Cup next year. This is the first year their odds haven't been 30 to 1. It is now up to 60 to 1, it's worth a shot.
Also, we stayed at the Flamingo, which did not have the "magical craps" table.

Yeah, that magical craps table was a complete figment of my imagination, as a lot of things are.

I'm gald you finally realize that Gary. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
