Robert Jordan - The Wheel of Time tuns, and Ages come and pass....
For those of you who do not know who Robert Jordan is, he is a fantasy writer who has been writing the Wheel of Time series since 1990, which released it's 11th book about a year ago. The story was scheduled to finish in the 12th book. Yes, I have read his other books and it was no easy undertaking. With each book approx 1,200 - 1,400 pages long I have invested alot of time in this story. He died before he could write the final book, but he did share his plot and ideas with his family before he died. If his family decides to hire another writer to finish the series or let the story end unfinished is their decision.
So, needless to say, I will not be taking on any more ridiculously long book series until the final one has been completed.

Isn't that the series you told me to read when we were at Barnes & Noble? I'm glad I didn't take your advice. I don't think I will ever read a series of more than 3 or 4 books (unless they are very short). There are too many other books on my list to invest that much time in one story.

I believe I told you NOT to read the series because it takes too much time. I don't think I have recommended his books to anyone.
