Absinthe Ban Lifted

After nearly 100 years the US has finally lifted the ban on Absinthe. The first two absinthes to be allowed into the market are Lucid and Kubler, each utilizing the more historical formula of high alcohol content (120 proof or more) and low amounts of thujone - to make it legal - it must contain no more then 10 parts per million of the chemical. So, anyone feel like chasing the Green Fairy?

We definitely have to get some absinthe! I have been wanting to try it for a while. Even before the ban was lifted, it was not illegal to obtain absinthe for personal use from outside the US. It's just kind of expensive. I was just waiting for the right occasion. Ordering from ever seas will probably get you higher thujone content. I want to get a bottle of Absinthium 1792. Check out greenfairy.org for info.
