Greetings from Pleasanton

We are in Pleasanton for my cousin Lauren's wedding. It's not a fun drive from Vegas. We will be driving down to Anaheim on Saturday to pick up the dogs who are staying with Niki's parents. Then it's back to Vegas. I hate spending all weekend driving (especially with gas prices what they are) but it must be done. At least I get a free dinner out of it.

I bet it will be much more pleasant (weatherwise) in Pleasanton than in Vegas... although you may not miss the good ol' June Gloom.

It's been pretty quiet around here lately. Gary seems to have a love interest, Dan's pitching shutouts, Mark's still nowhere to be found. I'm leaving Tulsa next week to go to Houston for a work-related conference. If I don't melt I'll be back by next weekend.

Just thought I'd chime in to say no gnus is good gnus. We now return you to your regularly scheduled frogs and crickets.

Seriously James, it's not called a shut-out, it's called making all the saves. I thought we all learned that by now? No more jinxing me before the games. In my last 13 games I'm 12-0-1 with 0 shut-outs. Thanks alot!

I'm not going to jinx anything by predicting scores of games, but I will say that Dan is playing some of his best hockey ever. It's a big reason why we are 6 - 2 and in first place this season. Our game tomorrow is against Decrepit who are 0-7-1 this season and have given up 70 goals in their 8 games. Hopefully we dont play down to their level.

Dammit Dan! Why did you wait until after I left to get good. Or are you good because I left? Whatever. I just want to play again!

It's actually all about the translation... I say "I hope Dan makes all the saves," and then Tony tells you "James hopes you have a shutout!" I was brought up right by Bob Miller, you don't use the "S" word until the game is over.
