Logging in from the road
We're back in OC but just visiting this time. Thanks to everyone who came out to visit us. We had a blast and can't wait to do it again!
I had to get a new computer today. I was burning a CD Friday before we left and my PC had a major meltdown. With the price of notebooks where they are these days, I decided to buy one rather than spend the money to fix my 2 yr. old clunker. It didn't cost much more than a new mobo and processor.

Good move! I bought a Gateway notebook almost a year ago and have been very happy with it. What kind did you get?

I got a Gateway also. It has a Turion64 X2 (dual core) processor, 2GB ram, 160GB hd, and a pretty decent video card. I wasn't expecting to get something this nice but I got a great deal on it and the cheaper ones were mostly sold out.
I got a Gateway for my mom a few months ago and was very impressed so I figured I should stick with them.
