Retraction
I was wrong about the acoustics at the Grand Garden Arena. We saw Josh Groban perform there this weekend and it sounded pretty good. The arena at Mandalay Bay sounded better but not by much. I guess Aerosmith just had crappy equipment.

I agree, the acoustics were awesome at the show. Groban's voice doesn't hurt either. He was great.
