In god middle America trusts

Here is a new map of religiosity in the U.S. It doesn't tell me much I didn't know already but it is interesting to note that the "bible belt" has shifted to the north. It also reminds me that I am far too close to Utah. It's not looking good for Dallas.
One observation of a non-religious nature: The arrangement of counties in Michigan and Iowa is very impressive. Why couldn't other states be so organized?
