The voice of dissent
I saw No Country for Old Men this week. What the hell? With all the awards and Oscar buzz and glowing reviews, I was really expecting to see a great movie. I don't get it. The first 3/4 of the movie were pretty good. But just when you think it's going to get interesting, the main plot ends in a very unsatisfactory way. It completely derails. Most of the last 20 minutes are about an old man's journey of self discovery. I felt like I must have missed some critical insight that everybody else got. Unless a section of film was cut from the reels I was watching, No Country for Old Men is not a good movie.

I thought about seeing this movie, the previews look good. Now I might not see it.
