The future of public education in Texas
Anybody planning on moving to Texas (I wont name any names) should start saving money so their kids can get a private education. The new head of the State Board of Education is a moron. Unfortunately, this could effect us all because Texas has a lot of influence on what gets printed in textbooks. Damn Texas!

I'm sorry, I don't know how you got past the part that says he thinks the universe is 6000 years old. It's going to take me a day or two to process that sentence before I can continue reading the article.

Sadly, I have become desensitized to stuff like that. It is all too common. I won't quote any figures because polls yeild wildly different results based on how the question is asked but a staggeringly large percentage (possibly more than half) of Americans believe in a young earth. Then again, 90% of Americans are stupid.
