I don't think I ever played Tecmo Bowl. Not even once. And I don't regret it one bit. I do miss Side Pocket though.

Tecmo Bowl, along with RBI Baseball 1, Super Contra, and Life Force are perhaps my 4 favorite video games of all time. Yes, it is indeed a day of mourning.
My favorite memories of Tecmo Bowl were when I went to Mark's house and we would BOTH play full 16 game seasons + playoffs in 1 night! What a strange coincidence that Thurman Thomas is featured in this post because he is the guy who always killed Mark's NJ Jets teams in the playoffs lol...then Mark would be in a really bad mood as his mom was making us breakfast...Oh man, great memories
Btw, Sean Landetta was the best punter in Tecmo Bowl lol
