Pennywise has sunk to a new low. They are playing the Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach. Unknown Road was a good album as was the album before that and now they are giving away an album. That's funny.

Giving away an album is not an indication of status/popularity these days. Radiohead gave away their last and NIN is giving away a partial. Both bands are hugely successful and have no trouble selling CDs. Keep in mind that bands make a lot more money touring than they do on album sales. You are going to start seeing a lot more of this.

That's true. It's one of the biggest reasons why concert ticket prices have been rising, to somewhat offset the lack of album sales.
