Winter Wonder Land

For the first time since we moved here, measurable amounts of snow fell across the entire Vegas valley. It snowed most of the day yesterday at our new apartment (incidentally, we are partially moved in now) but it was warm enough that it only stuck in grassy areas. There was heavy show cover (at least a few inches deep) just a few miles away in the Red Rock Casino area where the elevation was slightly higher. I'm no stranger to snow but it was a bit surreal seeing palm trees caked in white. Believe it or not, chains or snow tires were required to take Blue Diamond west to Pahrump. More should fall over the next couple days. I'm hoping for a white xmas this year!
