Whatcha got for me Dan?

I was wondering if you have decided on a set list for when you play my guitar next weekend. As you said, the first song is critical. Any chance there is some Avenged Sevenfold in there?
I haven't played an entire "real" song yet so it's still waiting for you to christen. I have played the stupid little songs that are part of beginner courses but those don't count.

Aaron, weren't you supposed to learn a full song 3 days after you bought the guitar?? Just kidding man.

Why is the first song in the setlist so crucial?

For the same reason that you have to pick just the right movie to watch first when you buy a new big screen TV. YOu have to start if off right.

You are forgetting to take into account that I know very few songs all the way through.
You get no Avenged Sevenfold unless you want to retune your guitar. Besides I don't know any anyway.
How do you feel about Aces High? That is one of the few songs where I can struggle through the solo and actually complete the song. Much like guitar hero. Hopefully I will have enough star power and you won't be booing by the end of the song.
And Gary, song selection is critical when playing a new guitar. In fact, if you pick the wrong song it could ruin your guitar.
If you are not feeling Aces High then I can play a compressed version of Crazy Train.

I forgot many Avenged Sevenfold songs are in drop D. I don't mind retuning but it's a bit too late for you to start learning a new song. Aces High would be good. You play the guitar and I will take care of the vocals. I'll be very impressed if you can pull off the solo.

If the first movie you watch on a new big screen is Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Braveheart will never look right.

I won't hold it against you if you dance a jig.

Aaron, I hope you didnt see that Sisterhood movie. If so, I am surprised you didn't kill yourself by now.

The only reason I am still alive is that I have not seen it. Neither have I seen Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. I'll go so far as to say that I refuse to watch ANY movie with "sisterhood" in the title. Unless it's porn of course.
