One remote to rule them all

Part of returning my broken 360 was giving back the remote (required for watching DVDs) that came in the bundle. Rather than paying $30 for another identical remote, I decided to investigate the possibilities of buying the Logitech Harmony Remote for Xbox 360 that I have been lusting after. It normally retails for $120 which I was unwilling to pay but I found it on eBay for $63 (new). The extra $33 seemed like a worthwhile investment if the remote could do everything it promised.
Well, I took the plunge and my nerdy wet dreams have come true. It has replaced five remotes, at least three of which are required for any given activity. Say I want to watch cable. All I do is hit the Activities button and choose Watch TV from the list on the LCD. It automatically turns on the cable box, TV, and receiver, switches the TV and receiver to the right inputs, and maps all the controls I need to the proper buttons. No need to switch between devices if I want to change the channel on the cable box or turn up the volume on the receiver. It knows which buttons control what device. If I get tired of watching cable, I can choose the Watch DVD activity and it will turn off the cable box, turn on the DVD player, and switch the TV and receiver to the proper inputs. Brilliant!
Most of this was possible with older universal remotes with macro features (including my receiver remote) but required hours of painstaking macro programming. I was never willing to put the blood, sweat, and tears into it and I would still have to keep the other remotes handy because you can never get ALL the controls you need. Now I have it all in one remote. To program it, all I have to do is plug the remote into a computer, enter the make and model of your components, and answer remarkably few simple questions. All the controls are uploaded to the remote and I'm ready to rock.
In the interest of full disclosure, I have to admit I did have a problem getting the remote to control the DVR funtions of my cable box at first. There was an easy way to fix the problem but I overlooked it. It was more my fault than the remote's.

I forgot to mention something. For those non-360 owners, there is a whole line of Logitech Harmony remotes, both more and less advanced. The 360 version still works with all other components but has the extra A,B,X,Y buttons. There is another version that is identical except for the xbox buttons but I think it actually costs more.
