China reascerting the natural order

China has developed a nasty habit of letting large captive predators eat it's citizens. This time it was a mentally ill man who was devoured by a tiger. Is this natural selection at work culling the weak and infirm from the human herd? Is it just stupid people being stupid? Is there a difference?

Maybe it's a tactic used to ease the burden of population growth.

Possibly. Animal populations will tend toward equilibrium with their environment. Humans are usually an exception to the rule but it may catch up with us yet.
