The Drunk Dalmuti

Rebels that we are, we have defied convention and turned The Great Dalmuti into a drinking game. It actually works pretty well. Drinking games tend to be somewhat unfair (think Asshole) so The Great Dalmuti adapts pretty naturally. The rules of the game remain the same with the addition of alcohol. It goes something like this:

• At the end of every round the players assuming the ranks of greater and lesser peons drink. 1 unit for the lesser, 2 for the greater.
• In the event of a lesser revolution the greater and lesser Dalmutis drink. 1 unit for the lesser, 2 for the greater.
• In the event of a greater revolution the greater and lesser Dalmutis drink before taking their new peon positions. 2 units for the lesser, 4 for the greater.
• All drinks must be finished by the end of the round.
• A benevolent Greater Dalmuti may declare a moratorium on drinking if the ranks stagnate too long. This is important because a person stuck in the position of greater peon may pass out before ever moving up in the ranks.

You can determine what the units are depending on your alcohol tolerance and how quickly you want to get drunk. It could be a shot, half a shot, one wine cooler, whatever. We were using glasses that equalled about 3/4 of a beer bottle to represent 2 units. The glasses had a line at the half way mark so it was easy to measure 1 unit. As soon as I find my Dilbert cards I will figure out something really special for the Twirling Wedgy card.

You've got way too much time on your hands, but I love this post. You knew I would.

I believe I have Dilbert cards that were once owned by James. You are welcome to borrow them anytime.

Niki said she spotted our Dilbert cards during the move so it's just a matter of finding them. Thanks for the offer though.
I look forward to the day when we can have a spirited game of Dalmuti with Nina. Then we will find out what she's really made of.

She can be competitive, but I dont know if she will be involved in a Dalmutti tournament. The girls usually prefer to talk and gossip.

Dan has already proven a master of the Del Taco Coup Fourre card. Did you get your 100 tacos on Tuesday?

The problem with ordering 100 tacos on taco night Tuesday is that you have 1 left over taco that costs you full price. No one in their right mind would order 99 tacos, and no one could possibly eat 102 tacos, so I didn't order anything.
