Check out the Warbeast Wireless PS3 Guitar. It is full size (as in the size of a real guitar), works with Guitar Hero and Rockband, and apparently plays as good as it looks. It's a bit pricey but may be worth the $ to not have to use the crappy Rockband stock strat.

I did. Fender Telecaster. It is doing a great job of looking good in my office and gathering dust at the moment.
