Try before you buy

Ever hear a song and think "That band has potential. I wonder if the rest of their stuff is as good."? Of course you have but you had to buy an album to find out. Now there is a way to listen to an entire album so you can buy (or not) with confidence.
Lala lets you listen to anything in their catalog of over 6 million songs for free... once. If you decide you want to hear it again you have to pay. You can buy the tracks from them (10¢ for unlimited streaming or 79¢+ for DRM-free download) or, as I would do, go get them from iTunes.
It will also manage your music and do all kinds of other crap that doesn't interest me. Just for signing up you get 50 free streaming tracks. Give it a try.

I just go to You Tube instead.

Youtube is pretty good for that but Lala is more convenient (no searching track by track from list you found on another web page) and has a more robust catalog (every song, not just favorites). The only advantage to youtube is that there is no limit to how many times you can listen to a song.
