Iron Maiden as interpreted by Avenged Sevenfold

Play the video (actually it is only audio) to hear Flash of the Blade covered by Avenged Sevenfold. It is from a Iron Maiden cover album called Maiden Heaven. I realize this may be old news to some of you but I saw the video on youtube and decided to post it. I have not heard the whole album but Coheed and Cambria does a decent rendition of The Trooper.

That's a pretty good cover. The guitar intro and solos are awesome. The only downfall is the chorus, but it's passable.

A7X does a great job on covers because they stick very close to the source material. They also have a very good cover of Walk by Pantera and are contributing to another compilation by covering Paranoid.

Coheed and Cambria also play The Trooper at their concerts. We have seen them live a few times and I have always been very impressed.
Trivium’s version of Iron Maiden is on their newest album too, Shogun, which kick's ass.
