It's all about the Benjamins... or is it?

We finally got around to watching The Curious Case of Benjamin Breeg.. er.. um... Button. Yeah, Benjamin Button. Anyway, I was expecting it to be very good after all the hype and award nominations. Not so much. It had it's moments but was quite boring overall. I liked to concept but I don't think it was fleshed out all that well and the protracted love story was just tedious. Maybe I would have liked it better if my expectations were lower.

I almost bought this book before the movie was even in production, however I didn’t think I could get into the story so I skipped it. After seeing the previews for the movie, it doesn’t seem that would hold my attention either.

Besides, after having to read The Great Gatsby in Mr. Molines’ class, it kind of ruined me to all of Fitzgerald’s work.

I never considered seeing this movie. If you want to see a movie that is worth the hype, go see Slumdog Millionaire.

The original Fitzgerald story is only like 30 pages so you might be able to squeeze that into your attention span.
Slumdog doesn't interest me in the least. I feel like I should want to see it after all the praise it has received but I don't. Besides, who wants to watch a movie about a bunch of damn Indians. Nobody likes Indians.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Nobody likes Indians? I fully support the Native American Indian casinos. I love their fire water.
