Guitar Hero World Tour

Not to be outdone by Rock Band, Guitar Hero World Tour (due Oct.) will feature drums and a mic in addition to the ubiquitous guitar. The drums seem to be a better design than Rock Band's and the guitar now has a touch pad for altering notes. You will even be able to create your own songs now. Check out the details here.

R.I.P. George Carlin

Sunday was a sad day. We lost one of the great comedians and free-thinkers of our time. I regret not seeing his show when he was here recently but he wasn't considerate enough to warn us of his impending death. If he was right about Frisbeetarianism, I hope he ended up on a roof with a nice view.

Get Smart Review

I was a big fan of the Get Smart TV show when I was a kid so I was really expecting the movie to be a disappointment. Fortunately, I was completely wrong. The entire movie was very funny. All the stars played their parts very well, especially Steve Carell. He payed homage to Don Adams without trying to imitate him too much. Anne Hathaway was perfect to play Agent 99. Get Smart earns the Official Aaron Seal of Approvalâ„¢.

The party's over...

Once again, my vacation has come to an end far too soon. Vacation is really the temporary fulfillment of a dream for me because my dream is to get paid to do nothing. Obviously I get paid a lot MORE to do nothing in my dreams but it's a step in the right direction. They say "Find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life" but that's a bunch of bullshit because nothing I love doing could be considered a legitimate profession.
Anyway, my vacation was good if overly brief. Dan and Emily were here for a large portion of it and we had a lot of fun. Among other things, we gambled, drank large quantities of Guinness, ate at Battista's Hole in the Wall, and went to a Yellow Brick Road (best cover band EVER!) concert.
We also went to see Indiana Jones and the Kingdom Of the Crystal Skull. Here is my full review: It was stupid! Just stupid. That's all.

Blue Moon

It's all fun and games until somebody loses an ass. A man in Utrecht, Netherlands mooned a restaurant window a bit too vigorously causing the window to break and lacerate his buttocks. I think he will probably learn his lesson because he will get a painful reminder of his poor judgement every time he sits down for a while.
